Bruges with kids
A lot of the children will definitely appreciate a boat trip on
the canals or a horse-drawn cab tour.
The youngest among us can play to their heart's content in the city
park playgrounds: Astridpark, Sebrechts Park and Visartpark.
Some museums are greatly suitable for children:
For most children, climbing the 366 steps of the Belfry will be quite an interesting challenge. The Folklore Museum and Bruges' windmills will appeal to all children.
Not all children will enjoy the collection of the Groeninge
Museum. Especially for them, we have created a play area with a
playhouse, so that their parents can visit the museum in the best
possible circumstances.

As they enter the museum,
children aged 6 to 12 and accompanied by their parents will receive
eight stickers and a sheet of paper on which the stickers should be
arranged in the correct order.
In the museum there are eight small panels which show the
illustrations in the right order
The children hand in the finished sheet at the desk when they
leave.

The Frietmuseum
Absolutely incredible! Up until now there was no Frietmuseum in the whole world, which means that the Frietmuseum in Bruges is the first and only museum dedicated to potato fries.
Together with delicious Belgian chocolate, the Belgian potato fry is certainly the product that is the most characteristic of Belgian culinary expertise. Over the years, fries have become known world wide to the delight of adults and children in practically all countries and we can be proud that they actually originate from Belgium.
Therefore, it is not only normal, but even absolutely necessary that the first potato fry museum should be opened in Belgium.
