With Kids

A lot of the children will definitely appreciate a boat trip on the canals or a horse-drawn cab tour.

From Easter to October the horses await you, prancing on Sint-Baafsplein (St Bavo’s Square) to bear you through town like a king. From the comfort of the carriage you can experience the city in a relaxing, soothing manner.

price: € 25 per carriage, for 4-5 people

Every weekend, on public holidays and daily during holiday periods.
Note: the carriages are not in service during the Ghent Festivities (or in the event of extremely bad weather).

Adults find the Castle of the Counts imposing, but for children it is nothing less than breathtaking. All the stories about knights and ladies here suddenly become very real (the movieguide helps too).
